Educational Visits

All classes occasionally take trips to places of educational interest.  The places we visit are usually linked to current topic work, but may be of a more general educational benefit. Written notice will always be given in advance, as parental consent is required, and because parental assistance with supervision is often requested.  Many of these excursions are subsidised by the Friends Of Foxton School, or from the school budget, but parents are usually asked to make a voluntary contribution.

During the summer term Years 5 and 6 are given the opportunity to go on a residential school trip Detailed information about these visits is issued to parents during the spring term.

Children may also be taken off the school premises on occasion for purposes such as rehearsals in church, or topic work within the village. Parental permission for this is sought on an annual basis, rather than for each instance.
