QUESTION OF THE WEEK 18TH MAY 2015

How do lizards get warm?

Why do they need to?

Warm blooded animals are able to manage their own temperature with their own blood.

Deep in the water, fish often catch their prey by trickery as they lay in ambush waiting for dinner to come along.

Scientists in California have discovered a very large OPAH which moves in deep water at speed suggesting that they are able to manage their own temperature. How?

What methods do lizards and other reptiles use to manage their own temperature and why is it important?
