Friends of Foxton School

The Friends of Foxton School are a small group of parents and teachers whose aims are to raise money for the school, and to run fun events for the children.

In the past we have raised funds through various events and activities.  Our main fund-raisers are the Foxton Family Fun Day in July, and the Art Exhibition in November.  We also raise money each year through the 100 Club, Christmas Hampers and Foxton School Calendars, and have held other one-off events such as Casino evenings, a Family Quiz, and a second-hand uniform stall.

Some events that we have organized for the children include the Friday Fling disco, Easter competitions, Film night, Beetle drive and cake stalls.

The money we raise benefits all the children who attend the school. Much of the money is spent on helpful day-to-day things, such as resources for the classrooms and library, photocopying and subsidising school trips.  We also pay for some one-off resources for the school – in the last few years we have paid for a set of 16 wireless laptops as well as interactive white boards and projectors.

We meet around once a month during the school year (sometimes more when a major fundraising event is coming up) – the meetings are fairly informal and usually fun!  The Friends are always looking for new members, and would welcome you to come along to one of our meetings to find out more!

This year the Foxton Art Exhibition raised £2,900 for Foxton Primary School.
