Hedgehog Class had an exciting trip to Stansted Mountfitchet Castle, where they stepped back in time to experience life in Norman England. The children explored the castle grounds, discovered what it was like to live in a Norman village and learnt about the roles of the people who lived and worked there. They also explored the castle itself, identifying key features such as the drawbridge, moat, turrets and arrow slits, bringing their learning about castles to life. The children thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on experience and were enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge throughout the day.
