We had a wonderful time, listening to the Goldfield Ensemble on Tuesday. There was live music with two violinists, one viola player and one cellist. The other member of the group was a story-teller, who used shadow puppets to illustrate the three stories about birds. The whole school was able to listen together and were entranced by the high-quality, professional collaboration. The concert was subsidised by the Cambridgeshire Music Hub.
Here are just a few of the many comments.
Libby – ‘I really enjoyed the stories, especially the pigeon one.’
Isla - ‘I noticed that the bigger the string instrument, the lower the sound was.’
Olivia – ‘I thought the pigeon joke was really funny.’
Romilly - ‘I thought the puppets were amazing.’
Isabella – ‘I liked the viola the best.’
Callum - ‘I liked the part when the pigeon saved the army.’
Zoe – ‘I loved the sound of all the instruments when they played together.’
