Autism is a spectrum condition and affects people in diverse ways. However, all autistic people will, to varying degrees, experience difficulties in their social communication and social interaction, along with demonstrating repetitive and restrictive behaviours.
Some children have social communication difficulties without being diagnosed as having autism.
