Headteacher's welcome

Welcome to our school website.  We hope you enjoy browsing it and find all the information you need.
Foxton Primary is situated in the physical and social heart of Foxton, next door to the village hall, with the community’s recreation ground and church just a few minutes away.  We are fortunate to have a lovely and well designed building to house us, and the people who gather inside it create a happy and purposeful environment for our learning.
We’re also very lucky to have plenty of outdoor space for our pupils.  There’s a large playground, with a special play area for the younger children, plus a large grassy area complete with a wooden trim-trail and an ‘outdoor classroom’. There is also a garden of raised beds, which is used by all the children to grow vegetables and flowers, and a separate playing field with a football pitch.
We provide a curriculum that acknowledges the importance of the basic skills, but endeavours to teach those basic skills in an exciting way. We also like to focus on more creative and artistic skills and having fun with learning.
Foxton is a small school, the sort of place where everyone knows you and allows us to very effectively nurture a very welcoming and caring atmosphere; it comes very naturally to everyone to take an interest in each other.
Please don’t hesitate to make direct contact with the school if there’s anything you need to ask. Our office staff will give you a warm welcome, and offer a wealth of information!
